Chelsea fought FIFA at the CAS to get a transfer ban overturned to make new signings in the January transfer window. Just a few days after the transfer window shut and Lampard complaining about no players being signed, the club has pulled off one of the biggest coups of the season by signing Hakim Ziyech from Ajax in less than 48 hours.
The Moroccan international will move to London from Amsterdam in the summer when the transfer window opens. The transfer fee is reported to be around £33.33M that could rise up to £36.67 with add-ons. The left-footed attacker can play in midfield as well as on the wings. He likes cutting in from the right and has a vision for passes. He’s an influential player for Ajax and has been a key member of their squad in recent times. Chelsea fans have already seen glimpses of what he can do during the entertaining 4-4 draw when Ajax visited Stamford Bridge in November 2019 and it’s only better that he will be doing it for Chelsea next time he plays at the Bridge.
He brings in some great attacking prowess and experience to Lampard’s young side and could become a vital player for the Blues. Read more here: https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/2020/02/13/chelsea-transfer-news–deal-reached-with-ajax-for-hakim-ziyech-
